During the races to ensure the safety of all competitors the competition areas will be closed to the normal traffic. Only authorized vehicles and WMOC busses will be allowed to reach the competition areas. Parking at the arena is allowed only for cars, minibuses and busses with a WMOC pass. All other vehicles will be stopped.

At the WMOC Acqua Orsini, purity and quality at Km 0 Acqua Orsini enters the field to support the WMOC 2022 and quench the thirst of the 3 thousand orienteers who, in just under a month, will arrive in Gargano to conquer the international Masters titles. 

WMOC 2022, SATELLITE ACTIVITIES OF 5 MILLION EUROS Participation of over 3 thousand athletes from 40 countries will make up the daily presence in the Gargano of 5 thousand people, also considering their companions, equal to a total of 50 thousand in the ten days of average stay. Relevant numbers are those linked to the now forthcoming World Masters Orienteering Championships. One month after the start of the competitions, at a round table at the Sala Giunta of the Province of Foggia, we talked about the fundamental sporting, social and economic value generated by the event, which will remain the heritage of the territory.

Peschici, a Sprint-proof historic center: the words of the Mayor Francesco Tavaglione Peschici too, like Vieste and the whole Gargano, is in turmoil for the arrival of the 3 thousand orienteers of the WMOC 2022. At the Student Championships Puglia is the Italian champion in Trail-O Martina Scarati, Laura Vizzielli, Gennaro Santoro and Nicolai Maria Giancipoli: representing the Grazia Deledda Institute – San Giovanni Bosco di Ginosa in the province of Taranto, they are the 2022 Italian champions of Trail-O! A confirmation for the institute, already titled in 2017 and 2019, the result of a long process of promotion and training for the regional dissemination of the orienteering and Trail-O. A process that, for about 20 years, has involved Apulian teachers, with regular technical courses to acquire the qualification to teach the discipline, and students, through the activation of extracurricular projects to love this sport and test in the Student Championships.
