Former World Orienteering Champion Janne salmi is the course setter at WMOC 2022

Janne Salmi, Finnish orienteering and winner of the 1997 World Orienteering Championships, Short distance. World champion Relay 2001, silver medal 1995, 1997 and 1999 will be the course setter for Sprint Final at WMOC 2022 in Vieste, Gargano, Puglia.

Janne was already in Gargano as a runner, later as national team coach  and as MOC Camp head coach in Gargano in 2017. In these years his love for the challenging orienteering venues made is chose Gargano as a prime location for holiday and trainings. He immediately was enthusiast to have the chance to set the courses for WMOC 2022 Sprint Final in Vieste, the pearl of Gargano.
