OLEARIA CLEMENTE, THE LARGEST ITALIAN OIL CHAIN COMPANY AT WMOC 2022
This is the story of an Italian family, originally from the Gargano, who have always believed in their land. This is why he has chosen to be alongside the WMOC 2022, so that all orienteers competing at the international event can discover the beauty of the Apulian territory and feel at home.
At the end of 1800 in the Gargano Berardino Clemente begins to market almonds and oil, his son Michele and his nephew Berardino were able to follow up the fatherly activity. Berardino managed not only to maintain strong commercial relationships, but transformed his renowned tasting skills into a strong point of commercial selection, becoming a strategic partner for the large packaging companies in the north, for the quality and purchase of the Apulian oil.
He understood that he had to enhance the product in his land. He began the bottling business and taught all he knew to his very young children. With the premature death of Berardino in 1983, Michele and Antonello, grown up amidst the strong and intense smell of oil, resume relations with producers, oil mills and companies in the north and they show great skills worthy of their father’s teachings.
In a few years even Carla, the third child, decides to join them taking care of the administrative part. The resourcefulness and courage of the boys led them to go further by deciding to expand the company which became, in just over 20 years, a leader in the olive sector and a leading player on the Italian and international market, which it has also been in charge of since 2000 the last born Ilenia.
Today Olearia Clemente does not simply produce oil but gives value to its product, its land, its land, directly managing all the stages of the production process, from the care of the immense expanses of olive groves to the management of modern and certified processing plants and bottling. Nothing escapes the rigorous checks carried out by the company within the company itself.
