The countdown is ON. In the next days the IOF commission will proceed with technical, logistics, organizational and institutional checking for WMOC 2022.
The IOF delegation, guided by David May, the Swiss Tulla Spinelli and the Finnish Jane Salmi will follow an intense program which in only 4 days condensate all technical, organizational, logistics and institutional aspect of the upcoming World Masters Orienteering Championships 2022.
14 the municipalities supporting the event: Vieste, Peschici, Vico del Gargano, Montesant’Angelo, San Marco in Lamis, San Giovanni Rotondo, Carpino, Apricena, Rodi Garganico, Cagnano Varano, Sannicandro Garganico, Mattinata, Lesina and Ischitella.
The organizational committee, guided by Michele Barbone, will welcome the IOF delegation, supported by its Vice President Nicolino Sciscio, the Vieste Sport board President Dario Carlino, and Simone Grassi guiding the FISO technical team. The week will be coordinated by the event manager Gabriele Viale, it’s vice Tommaso Scalet, the technical director Janos Manarin, Bepi Simoni, Mauro Gazzerro, Paolo di Bert, and Roberto Manea. The team will also be supported by the 21 times Italian Champion Riccardo Scalet, together with all other course setters and the local technicians of FISO Puglia.
At the very same time, in Vico del Gargano more than 70 participants will follow a 1st level orienteering technical course.
